Gary Nielsen
About
Gary Nielsen’s legal journey began with a strong focus on trial advocacy during law school, where he distinguished himself by competing in the National Board of Trial Advocacy’s Tournament of Champions in Washington, D.C. This experience laid the foundation for his commitment to mastering trial skills and defending clients' rights.
Mr. Nielsen went on to serve two terms as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Brian Y. Furuya at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, where he was instrumental in drafting opinions and memorandum decisions across a spectrum of complex criminal and civil appeals. He subsequently worked for Arnold & Itkin LLP which allowed him to further hone his legal research and writing skills on catastrophic personal injury cases. This included successfully protecting against a defendant’s post-trial challenge to punitive damages on a $557 million jury verdict award that the firm had obtained.
Mr. Nielsen now leverages this diverse experience to effectively represent clients by finding key legal issues, championing the constitutional rights of those accused of crimes, and advocating for those who have been injured due to the negligence of others.
